Roma
The visitors will be shorthanded on Sunday with both Paulo Dybala and Romelu Lukaku set to miss-out on the match. The Argentinean strained his hamstring last weekend against Fiorentina and won’t be available for another two weeks. Meanwhile, Lukaku is suspended as a result of the red card he received against La Viola.
With their two best players and attackers out, Jose Mourinho is expected to tab Andrea Belotti as his starting forward with Lorenzo Pellegrini playing just behind. On the flanks, Stephan El Shaarawy is favored to start on the left with Rasmus Kristensen on the right.
Despite the absences, Roma have proven a difficult opponent for the Emilia-based side. In their previous four meetings, the Rossoblu have scored only 1 goal against the capital club.
Bologna
Bologna, on the other hand, is determined to continue their strong season as they find themselves firmly in the mix for a European-place finish.
They’ll still be without attacking pair Riccardo Orsolini, their most talented and dynamic attacker, and Jesper Karlsson. Orsolini, 26, is still recovering from a muscle strain and won’t return until the end of the month.
Thiago Motta’s side enters the affair with a formidable home record of 5W, 1D, and 1L in Serie A. More impressive, they’ve only conceded 1 goal in their last five home league games.
