Reds will have Yuki Abe available after suspension. Kosuke Taketomi is their only reported injury.

S-Pulse lost Renato Augusto at 17th minutes were up in last week's game and he should be considered doubtful until we have updates. Hideki Ishige, Kazunori Yoshimoto and Yuji Rokutan are still missing, while Yuta Taki is back in training.

Reds went 2-0 up then suddenly were 3-2 down at Sagan Tosu last weekend in J1, before a very late Kenyu Sugimoto goal gave them a 3-3 draw. This game will have followed Reds' Asian Champions League semi-final, and whatever the score the hosts will surely – like the rest of this season, seemingly – have their thoughts on the ACL and not the league. Despite the last rally to win last weekend the fact that they are happy with a draw against relegation strugglers, after leading 2-0, shows their mindset and they really do seem to be struggling to get motivated in league play. All eyes seem to be on the ACL and this has seen them drop perilously close to a relegation fight in J1.

S-Pulse hit Shonan Bellmare for six goals last weekend in J1. Elsinho and Kenta Nishizawa scored two each, with Douglas and Yosuke Kawai adding the others. Two wins running, and nine goals scored has seen them move above the pack of teams. They should not be going for draws while in such a rich goalscoring vein and I feel they will take this game to Reds and surprise the hosts.

Reds' dire form since the beginning of May will give S-Pulse hope and with the away team on a good run and confident, this should be more than enough to see S-Pulse win again.

With a 3-3 draw last weekend and 17 goals total seen in the last five league games Reds have played we should see goals for and against them. And then we see S-Pulse, who have scored nine in their last two matches, after seeing 8-0 and 4-0 defeats in games preceding this goalscoring spectacle! Two very average defences up against two attacks that can score!

In J1 matches between these two teams last season Reds won at home and drew away, while earlier this year saw a Reds 2-0 away win.
