This round Flamengo can count with forward Bruno Henrique and playmaker Everton Ribeiro, who are both returning from suspension, but they may also rest some of their most important pieces to focus in the second leg of the cup semifinal they have in the midweek.

That's good news for Fluminense, who come to this game with the same players they had available last round.

Suspended: None

Doubtful: None

Injured/unavailable: Arrascaeta (knee), Berrio (ankle), Diego (broken ankle), Filipe Luis (knee), Lincoln (thigh), Lucas Silva (thigh), Rafinha (face)

Suspended: Rodolfo (doping)

Doubtful: None

Injured/unavailable: Mascarenhas (knee), Matheus Ferraz (knee), Pablo Dyego (thigh)

Even though both sides use the Maracana as their home stadium, Flamengo are the ones hosting this derby, and they are still unbeaten in the league this year when playing at home and failed to win only one of the 12 matches they hosted in the Brasileiro (one of the matches played on neutral ground) – a goalless draw against Sao Paulo.

This is a derby against one of their main rivals and usually there would extra pressure to win this match, but they sit comfortably at the top of the table and with the second leg of the semi finals of the Copa Libertadores just around the corner, their fans expect them to focus on that game and forget a little bit about this one, which can make coach Jesus use mostly reserves in this match.

They have used reserves in the past and things worked out just fine and in the past couple of weeks they've missed most of their best players, who were either injured, suspended or with the national team, and even though Fluminense have lost only one match under their new coach – the 2-1 home loss to Athletico Paranaense last round – this is the first time during this run they play as visitors against a strong side and with a much weaker side they will offer no threat to Flamengo, who will win the derby.

Flamengo have the best attack in the league, but this round many of their best pieces won't play, and that will get on their way of creating chances to score, which will lead to this match having two or less goals and a low score in the end.

We already saw this derby five times in 2019 and after beating Flamengo in the first encounter, Fluminense are looking for a second win, as they lost twice and draw the other two games.
