Kagoshima United FC took an important away point in the J2 relegation battle last weekend with a 0-0 draw at Machida Zelvia. After five league defeats running this team dropped perilously close to the bottom two and after last week's draw they see themselves just a single point above Tochigi SC at the bottom of J2. Their desperation to survive may see them pull off a slight shock here this week as their motivation and home advantage against a team that find themselves all but mathematically safe from relegation.

Junichi Tanaka scored the winner for Renofa as they were victorious at home, 1-0 over Kyoto Sanga last weekend in J2. After a win and a draw against teams below them to almost ensure J2 survival, Renofa then added the scalp of Kyoto Sanga last weekend and are now 13 points clear of the relegation places and can relax. But they should be careful of relaxing too much, as a lack of motivation and less care against a team that really needs the points to survive may see them shocked.

13 points from trouble will be more than enough to ensure Renofa stay in J2 for 2020 and they will a little more relaxed than they have been in recent matches Having lost eight in 12 league games they have turned their season around and should continue their three-game unbeaten run against struggling Kagoshima.

We have seen 107 goals in Remofa's 36 matches – just one goal away from averaging three goals per game in total. Two of the four worst defences in J2 meet in this game. Do not expect a 0-0 draw. Coincidentally Kagoshima are also just one goal less than averaging exactly three goals per game in total. I feel that both defences will concede and we will get three goals or more again here.

A 1-0 home win for Renofa earlier this year was the first time these two teams had met in J2.
