Den Bosch are not having the best of seasons, they were up against Jong Ajax and suffered quite a heavy defeat. They trailed 2-0 after just 11 minutes into the game, allowing the first goal against already after just 5 minutes. Jong Ajax took a 4-0 lead, as they scored again in the 50th and 58th minute. Ruben Rodrigues scored a goal in the 76th minute but 4-1 was not how it ended as Den Bosch allowed a fifth goal in the 90th minute.

Excelsior were involved in a spectacular match against FC Eindhoven which saw a busy scoreline. Excelsior went behind four minutes into the match but equalized two minutes later thanks to Rai Vloet. Four minutes later it was the second time the Rotterdam side were forced to collect the ball from their own net and just two minutes later the score was equal again with Stijn Meijer scoring.  34 minutes into the game and Excelsior suffered a third goal against and just four minutes later it was Elías Ómarsson who tied up the match for a 3-3 half time score.  Thomas Verhaar finally gave Excelsior the lead just one minute into the second half. This lead lasted eleven minutes, but finally in the 77th minute it was again Ómarsson who scored, seeing the match end in an exciting 5-4 full time score.

Excelsior have ended a streak of three league games without a win and are now fifth with 7 wins and 3 draws from their fourteen league games. I see them beating a struggling Den Bosch.

Excelsior have booked seven wins, and have allowed goals against in six of these in the league. I see Den Bosch scoring here but Excelsior to score a few more in a high scoring game.

Den Bosch hold a two game winning streak over Excelsior in the league, beating them 3-2 the last time, This was however back in October 2013
