Everton: Playing better (Recent Form: LLWWDD)

Everton is surely not having a good season, given in mind the high expectations, as the club is hovering around the middle of the table, but being way off the top positions, despite that even some of the big clubs are having really bad campaigns so far. So far in the season the team managed to collect twenty five points in their opening twenty one league games (7-4-10), as like I said with that they are currently around the middle of the table, right now sitting six points behind the top five and the European positions. They lost their last two games in all competitions, but it should be mentioned that these defeats came against Liverpool and City away from home, so the expectations from these games were not that high before the matches. Before these two tough games however Everton was on a good six games unbeaten run in all competitions (3-3-0) and overall we can definitely see an improvement in their performance as of recently. Also, the team has been playing much better exactly in front of their fans so far in the campaign, with seventeen of these points being earned at their arena so far (5-2-3). Gomes and Iwobi are still out with injuries.

Brighton: Pretty bad away from home (Recent Form: LDWLLD)

Brighton again started the season with only one goal in their minds and that was to be able to keep their place in the Premier League for next year as well. And with twenty four points collected until this moment (6-6-9), they are currently four points clear of the danger zone, which is not a bad performance overall. However, just like Everton, they have been playing much better and depending much more on their home performance since the start of the season, while in the same time away from home the club had already suffered six defeats in their opening ten league matches (2-2-6). Burn and Balogun are out for tomorrow, while March and Murray are doubtful.

The Betting Verdict:

Everton managed to improve their performance as of recently and especially against the clubs from the bottom half of the table they are able to dominate their games, as tomorrow I expect another three points.
