MATCH PREVIEW

MAIN PREDICTION: HOME WIN

Toronto FC ran their league unbeaten run to nine games with a 2-2 draw in Chicago last Sunday and now have points in 12 of their past 14 contests. They took the lead after an hour through Jozy Altidore but then conceded in the 68th and 77th minutes. A point was earned though when Omar Gonzalez levelled the match with ten minutes remaining. Toronto has six draws and three wins during their streak and their 47 points places them sixth in the Eastern Conference. They trail the New York Red Bulls and DC United by one and two points respectively and with the right results could climb to fourth place and be rewarded with a home playoff match.

Columbus surprised the Philadelphia Union 2-0 at home last weekend with Youness Mokhtar scoring in the 69th minute and Pedro Santos tallying four minutes later. Goalkeeper Andre Blake kept the clean sheet. The Crew will miss the playoffs this year as they enter the final weekend in tenth place in the East, seven points behind seventh-place New England.

This is a must-win match for Toronto if they hope to earn a home playoff game and I expect them to win.

SECOND PREDICTION: HILO – HIGH

The teams have combined for 20 goals in the last five meetings for 4.0 per game. I like the chances of a high-scoring match.

HEAD TO HEAD

The teams drew 2-2 in Columbus in August with each side having one wins, one loss and two draws in the last four league meetings.

Nowgoal Prediction: Toronto takes three points
