Argentine Division 1 -- San Lorenzo VS Patronato Parana

San Lorenzo interim boss Diego Monarriz welcomes back Geronimo Poblete as the midfielder has served his one-week suspension.

Patronato players Gabriel Diaz and Dardo Miloc are available after serving his respective bans. Hugo Silveira was sent off against Godoy Cruz and is suspended. Martin De Leon will be the interim coach after Mario Sciacqua’s resignation.

San Lorenzo

Suspended: None

Doubtful: None

Injured/unavailable: Fernando Belluschi, Victor Salazar (both knee)

Suspended: Hugo Silveira

Doubtful: None

Injured/unavailable: Lautaro Comas, Walter Andrade (both muscle); Lucas Mancinelli (personal issues)

Nicolas Blandi’s strike in the 85th minute gave San Lorenzo a valuable point on their visit to Atletico Tucuman following a 2-2 draw. El Ciclon’s campaign is still poor, with 20 points in 14 matches, but they are slightly improving after four defeats in a row as they managed four points in the last two rounds against tough opponents. San Lorenzo beat Argentinos Juniors 3-0 in their last home game to stop a three-match losing run at Pedro Bidegain Stadium.

Patronato extended their winless streak to nine Superliga matches, with three draws and six defeats, last Monday, when they lost 2-0 at home to Godoy Cruz, who hadn’t earned any points on away turf. As a result, boss Mario Sciacqua resigned. They remain occupying one of the relegation spots (and will stay in the drop zone even winning here) after accumulating 13 points in total.

San Lorenzo are clearly the better side here. Home win.

San Lorenzo averaged two goals in their last three league games while Patronato netted three goals in the same spell. I fancy a 2-1 home win.

San Lorenzo are unbeaten against Patronato in history, with one victory and three draws.
