Real Sociedad: Has had nine days of rest ( Recent Form: W L W W W )

Real Sociedad is one of LaLiga's tastemakers this season, although the San Sebastian club battled with three losses in the last five league games in the last few weeks. The blue and white were lucky last week, however, that the away game against Eibar was postponed, allowing them to enjoy a nine-day mini-holiday without games. So Real Sociedad will kick off again on Saturday evening. With five home victories in a row in all competitions, the Basques are in shape in their own Reale Arena, although the suspension of attacker Cristian Portu is a bitter pill for coach Imanol Alguacil. The vanguard of La Real, however, remains perilous. Alexander Isak is in top form with eight goals in his last seven official games, while the Basques with Mikel Oyarzabal and Willian Jose still have two notorious goalgetters in their ranks. The rear guard, however, is very moderate. Real Sociedad managed to keep the zero in only two of her last twelve home matches in all competitions.

Valencia: It's Mestalla crisis again ( Recent Form: W L L D L )

It's an old-fashioned crisis at Valencia again. The club from the orange city was recently eliminated in the Copa del Rey and with only three wins in the last eight league matches, a top four ranking in LaLiga also seems a utopia. The hardest blow, however, came last Wednesday evening, when Los Che faced Atalanta in the eighth finals of the Champions League with a 4-1 defeat all over the San Siro. Thanks to the honorary hit by Denis Cheryshev, Valencia can continue to hope for a miracle in the return, although frankly the Spaniards in this form have nothing to do with the European champion ball. Trainer Albert Celades is therefore under a lot of pressure in the Mestalla, although it would not be fair to completely put the blame for the current crisis on him. The Valencia selection is of insufficient quality in terms of width, as is now painfully revealed. Also this coming weekend, visitors will again have to miss several key holders. Gabriel Paulista and Maxi Gomez are suspended, and Rodrigo Moreno, Cristiano Piccini and Ezequiel Garay are injured, so Celades cannot rely on his regular attack duo and almost his full defense. That could therefore have fatal consequences against Real Sociedad's strong attack.

After all, the second leg of the King's Cup semi-final between Real Sociedad and Mirandes until March 5 will take place, so the home players will focus all their energy on this match. Real Sociedad are currently winning all of their last 5 home games. In all of the last 6 away matches, Valencia have not won when they drew 1 and lost 5. Therefore, choosing Real Sociedad is wise.
