Ardija were 3-0 down at Kyoto Sanga last weekend in J2 play before a Robin Simovic header and wickedly deflected goal credited to Genki Omae made the final score 3-2. They are now two losses in their last three league games but in between scored six against Kagoshima United FC, and the fact that they came back with two goals last weekend will help them get over the recent defeats and inspire them to continue their fine home form. They may have lost two-in-a-row away but at home they are unbeaten since the second game of the season.

Masato Kudo was credited with the 2-2 equaliser in the 93rd minute for Renofa last weekend in J2 as they drew at home with Albirex Niigata in a game that should have been postponed. The field was full of water puddles. They have been on a fine run of form that has seen them beaten just once in eight league matches, but their away form has been far below their home form. On the road they have three losses in their last six away league games and will surely struggle to hold Ardija in this one.

Ardija's home record, and overall league season should see them safely to a home win here.

Ardija have 11 goals in their last four home games while Renofa's 23 league matches this season have seen 74 goals in total – more than three per game on average. They are the higest scorers in J2, but also the third-worst defence (only the bottom two are worse). Expect goals.

In J2 matches between these two teams last season Renofa won at home and drew away, while earlier this season we saw a 2-2 draw in the league.
