Arnor Smarason is Lillestrom’s only possible absentee ahead of the league game with Molde; he has a knee injury.

Molde’s Etzaz Hussain is still struggling to overcome a shoulder injury and Mathis Bolly is doubtful due to fitness concerns.

Lillestrom lost narrowly 1-0 in their round three league fixture away at Sarpsborg. Jorgen Larsen scored in the 11th minute for the hosts and that was enough for them to take all three points. It was a strongly contested league game in Sarpsborg and perhaps Lillestrom will have been a little aggrieved not to have left with at least one point. They have won their only home league match so far, a 2-1 victory over struggling Ranheim, and are undefeated in their last six home league matches (four wins, two draws), a run that stretches back into the 2018 season. They will be confident that Thomas Olsen can return to his goalscoring best, with the player scoring three times in his opening two league matches this season.

Molde slipped to a 3-2 league loss away at in-form Bodo Glimt last time out. It all went horribly wrong for the visitors as the home side went 3-0 up after a Martin Bjornbakk own goal in the 72nd minute. Molde pulled two goals back late on through Ohi Omoijuanfo and Leke James, but that was as close as they got. The loss in Bodo was their first defeat of the season, having won twice and drawn once so far, but despite returning with no points from the league match in the arctic circle they still occupy third place in the table with seven points. Molde have scored at least two goals in three of their first four league games this season.

I think this is a league game that Molde can win, but to do that their defence will have to play in a more organised manner. Their defeat last time out will be considered a blip and this league game in Lillestrom is an ideal opportunity to bounce back.

I will predict an early shock in this league match - an opening goal for the hosts. Lillestrom have opened the scoring twice so far this season and I expect them to do so again here.

Three of the last four league meeting between Lillestrom and Molde have contained at least three total goals, with Molde winning three and drawing one.
