MATCH PREVIEW

MAIN PREDICTION: HOME WIN

Leeds moved temporarily back into the automatic promotion spaces last weekend after they outclassed QPR in every area of the pitch in a 2-0 win at Elland Road in the league. West Bromwich’s win on Monday night means the hosts head into this game in third place but Marcelo Bielsa will be confident of closing that gap with a fourth successive home league victory.

Pressure has been steadily building on long-serving Blackburn manager Tony Mowbray, but he answered his critics last weekend as Saturday’s visitors ended a six-game winless streak in the league with a huge three points at home against a high-flying Sheff Wednesday side. The visitors left it late though, scoring in the 88th and 91st minutes and will need to start faster if they’re to stand a chance.

Blackburn may have upset the odds last weekend, but I expect Leeds’ quality to shine through here.

SECOND PREDICTION: HILO – LOW

Leeds have seen their last seven home league games produce under 2.5 total goals and have kept a clean sheet in their last three home league games in a row. Marcelo Bielsa’s men could well repeat that feat here against a Blackburn side who failed to score until the 88th minute last time out.

HEAD TO HEAD

Leeds have beaten Blackburn five of the last six times they’ve played them in competitive action.
