Granada: Only achieved one point in five last games ( Recent Form: L L L D L )

Granada had its strongest competition start ever, with the doctoral candidate even being able to call himself La Liga leader for the first time in ten club rounds. However, a relapse was always lurking, and that was exactly what happened with just one point in the last five competition matches. With the current tenth place, Los Nazaries still perform above expectations, but trainer Diego Martinez realizes that this form dip should not last too long. The home game against fellow relegation candidate Alaves is therefore extremely important. Granada has to blast on Saturday afternoon, but the self-confidence of the red and white has been hurt a lot in recent weeks. Not only does the rear guard fail with nine goals in the last five games, but the attack can also use a boost. Granada shot a total of 152 goals this season, of which only 48 times between the posts (an average of 3.2 goal attempts between the posts per game). So it may be called a small miracle that the team was already allowed to cheer twenty times. In the last five games, Granada did not even attack the enemy goal more than three times. "If you don't shoot, you don't know scoring," Johan Cruijff would have said.

Alaves: Three great games in a row ( Recent Form: D L W W L )

Alaves can also look back on an encouraging competition start. The Basques managed to win two of their last three league games, and on a level win against Granada, they level with the Andalusians. In particular, the attacking couple Lucas Perez and Joselu, who came to Vitoria for a total amount of just under five million euros last summer, can provide fantastic figures. Perez and Joselu were collectively already fourteen times accurate, accounting for more than eighty percent of the total Basque goal production. Alaves can work towards Granada-out with confidence, although trainer Asier Garitano has to do some puzzling in the rear. Fixed left back Ruben Duarte is not available because of a suspension, so Adrian Marin will probably replace him. However, he only came into action three times this season and therefore has hardly any rhythm. In addition, Alaves' balance with no less than five defeats in seven away games is not something to write home about.

After all, for the past 5 consecutive rounds, Granada CF players do not know the winning smell. Of these, they lost 4 matches. On the opposite side, Alaves are showing signs of prosperity when they won 2/3 of the last match. In the last 2 direct confrontations between the two sides, each team won 1 victory. Granada CF is more appreciated but this largely comes from the yard factor. Experts say that Alaves with a handicap of +0.25 is a better option.
