Flamengo: Winner of the Copa Libertadores ( Recent Form: W W W W L )

Flamengo has had an absolute top year. The Brazilians were crowned national champions and managed to seize the Copa Libertadores, the South American version of our Champions League, for the second time in club history. As icing on the cake, the Rio de Janeiro club can therefore participate in the World Championship for club teams, where the winner can expect an amount of at least five million dollars. Flamengo is not going home empty-handed anyway, because even the number four can put his finger in the honey pot with a prize money of about two million dollars. Also in terms of prestige, this tournament lives enormously, especially in South America. Qatar is not exactly at the door for the Brazilians, but Flamengo can still count on the support of more than 15,000 supporters. The Khalifa International Stadium, with a capacity of 40,000 spectators, will mainly be red-black on Tuesday evening. Flamengo is therefore the undisputed favorite for reaching the final. Routiniers like Filipe Luis and Diego have played at European top clubs in the past, while we will hear a lot from talents like Reinier and Gabriel Barbosa.

Al Hilal: Winner of the AFC Champions League ( Recent Form: W W W W W )

Saudi Al-Hilal took over the Asian Champions League this year, and therefore, like Flamengo, makes its debut at the World Championship for club teams. The Arabs flocked into the quarterfinals, where they managed to win 1-0 against the Tunisian Esperance de Tunis thanks to a late goal from Bafetimbi Gomis. The twelve-time French international made a furore at clubs like Olympique Lyon and Galatasaray in the past, but in the end days of his career he is still looking into his Saudi Premier League. However, Gomis is certainly not yet retired from football, as he was accurate in no fewer than seven of his last nine games. Gomis is not the only big name at Al Hilal, which can also feature players such as the Peruvian Andre Carrillo (formerly Sporting CP) and the Italian Sebastian Giovinco (formerly Juventus). Since this summer, the blue shirts have been led by Romanian coach Razvan Lucescu, under whose leadership they won fourteen times in twenty official games and only had to give up three times. During that series, Al Hilal was a total of no fewer than 51 times accurate, resulting in an average of more than 2.5 goals per game. The Arabs are also full of confidence. Carrillo: "I think Flamengo and we both have a fifty percent chance of reaching the final."

After all, there will be no easy match for Flamengo even though they own very strong attacks. In fact, in all of the last 3 matches on the continental playground as well as the first match at the FIFA Club World Cup, Al Hilal did not have to receive any goals, all ended. If there are more than 2 goals scored, the match will most likely have the same result.
