Arsenal: On the move ( Recent Form: W W W D W )

Arsenal was in fourth place prior to the eighth round of the Premier League. The Gunners finally want to qualify for the Champions League again this season and also have to finish in the top 4 to achieve Champions League qualification. So far, Arsenal is on the right track. The North Londoners grabbed twelve points from the first seven games and only lost to Liverpool (3-1). Last Monday, the Unai Emery squad last played in the Premier League and The Gunners then left a run-off game visiting Manchester United: 1-1. Arsenal had to work again on Thursday evening. This time a Europa League match with Standard Liège was on the program and just like last season, when Arsenal reached the Europa League final, this season Emery also chooses to give many substitutes playing minutes in the European tournament. Against the Belgian opponent this turned out well: Arsenal won 4-0 against Standard Liège by, among other things, two goals from the Brazilian super talent Martinelli. For Martinelli, the Europa League is of course an ideal tournament for gaining experience, as the eighteen-year-old attacker is clearly not yet completely ready for a base position in the Premier League.

AFC Bournemouth: Excellent results ( Recent Form: L W W L D )

Prior to this round, AFC Bournemouth could be found in eighth place in the Premier League and The Cherries can only be satisfied with that. Eddie Howe has a team with which he is probably not going to get into relegation problems, but nobody expects Bournemouth to end up in the left row with this team. However, over the past two months, The Cherries have shown that they need not be afraid of anyone and that they can play nicely. It is not without reason that the counter stands at eleven points from seven games. However, it is not entirely new for Bournemouth, which also started the season well last season and then after two games even had two points more than this season. Last Saturday, Bournemouth last played in the Premier League and The Cherries then tied 2-2 against West Ham United. Bournemouth fell behind within ten minutes, then made it 1-1 by Joshua King and 2-1 by Callum Wilson and The Cherries finally had to settle for a 2-2 draw against West Ham United. Not a bad result, because on paper West Ham United has a better team than Bournemouth. On February 27 of this year, Bournemouth was the last guest at Arsenal and at the time, The Cherries fell by no less than 5-1 at the Emirates Stadium.

After all, Bournemouth are 11 points after 7 rounds, they are ranked 8th on the table. For years Eddie Howe's team has always had the stability needed and with a team that doesn't have as much potential as them, the current position is very good. Good performance in recent matches is also a reason for the visitors to have more confidence in this match. Most likely Bournemouth will cause a lot of difficulties for Arsenal.
